FRILITE W-Series are Cenospheres with high Al2O3 content between 30 and 40 % and Fe2O3 contents of typically lower than 2%, which over all leads to an outstanding temperature resistance of over 1400 °C and they can be easily recognized by their white to off-white color.
Cenospheres are lightweight, inert, hollow spheres consisting largely of silica and alumina and are filled gas, typically occuring as a byproduct of coal combustion at thermal power plants and carefully collected after separation from the common fly ash.
With our integrated raw material sourcing, production processes and logistics we can ensure highest quality standards throughout the whole supply chain.
FRILITE W-Series are available in sub grades between 5 and 500 microns and a bulk density of about 400 kg/m³, specific gravity typically reaching from 0,7 to 0,85 g/cm³ and featuring 90% survival rates at > 3000 psi.
Because of their high temperature resistance and bright color FRILITE W-Series are especially suited to be used as filler in following applications:
- Foundry and Refractory
- Paints and Coatings
